No Internet Needed to Create Codes or E-Keys
When you're away from home, use the DESi Smart app to create scheduled user codes and share them with friends, Airbnb guests, your repairman, your gardener. Creating a user code needs no internet and no connection of any kind. You can also issue one-time codes valid for a single entry within a date and time range you set.
Rechargeable Batteries, Long Life
Rechargeable lithium batteries run for 1.5 to 2.5 months per charge, depending on how you use the lock. They last for years without replacement, so there are no batteries to keep buying. Charge them with the charger in the box and check the level any time in the DESi Smart app. And if you forget to charge, your keys still open the door.
Locks Itself Behind You
Turn on automatic locking and pick 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds or 1 minute. Choose a single-turn or a full-turn lock. Once you've opened your door, the Utopic R locks it again after the time you set — and you can define windows on specific days and times when auto-locking stays off.

Automatic Unlock
Geofence technology means your door unlocks by itself as you approach your home. There is no app to open and nothing to press. You draw a boundary around your home once, and from then on your phone takes care of the rest.
As soon as your phone crosses into the geofence area, it begins communicating with the lock. The closer you get, the further along that conversation is — so by the time you reach your door, it has already unlocked. Arms full of shopping, a child on one hip, rain coming down: none of it matters, because you never have to reach for a phone or a key at all.

Wireless Keypad — Features
With the OTP system (e-key), you can create secure codes that work for a set time without connecting to your smart lock. Use them once, or repeatedly within a date and time range you choose. A keypad with OTP support lets you open your door from anywhere; without one, you can still send a one-time code to a guest through the DESi Smart app, so they can get in without being near the lock or having a connection.

Can I still open the door with a key after installing the smart lock?
You can use your key at any time, including in an emergency. Keeping one key in your wallet or bag is enough.
Will my door be damaged during installation?
No. Fitting a Utopic series smart lock is like replacing the cylinder you already have. No extra holes are drilled in your door.
Can the smart lock lock and unlock automatically?
Utopic series smart locks perform full-turn locking and unlocking automatically. All you need to do is send the command from the phone app, the fingerprint or keypad reader, or a remote control.
Is the smart lock compatible with my 3-turn lock?
During installation, Utopic series smart locks run an automatic adjustment that learns the characteristics of your mechanical lock, including how many turns are needed to lock or unlock it fully. This happens once at installation and the settings are saved to memory.
Does it matter whether my door is left- or right-handed?
During installation your smart lock detects whether the door is left- or right-handed and sets the locking direction accordingly. You confirm this in the easy installation wizard.
How can I get additional keys for my smart lock?
You can have keys duplicated at a DESi authorised service centre. Five keys normally come in the box.
How do I know if it suits my door?
If your door has a cylinder lock, a Utopic series smart lock will be compatible with it. Doors in Türkiye generally use cylinders 66 mm to 70 mm long, and the Utopic R and Utopic 3 are sold with 66–68 mm cylinders. Thanks to its design, the Utopic R can extend by a further 10 mm, making it compatible with almost every door in Türkiye. If your existing cylinder is longer, you can still use the Utopic R or Utopic 3 with a specially sized cylinder.
Can I use my old cylinder with the smart lock?
No. The Utopic R and Utopic 3 work only with the special cylinders supplied in the box.
Can I install everything myself?
Yes — you can complete the whole installation by following the support videos on our YouTube support channel. If your door sags or catches anywhere, fix that first.
Do smart locks work on doors with multiple locking points?
Our smart locks work with centralised locking systems that have several locking points, and have the power to lock and unlock all of them.
Do smart locks pull the latch?
Yes. Our smart locks can open the door fully by pulling the latch during unlocking.
Can the smart lock be controlled remotely?
Yes. With the Smart Bridge, you can lock and unlock your door from anywhere.
Can I assign the smart lock to several users?
Yes. You can share the lock with different users through the app and manage each person's access permissions.
Can I open my door if my phone or the lock's battery dies?
If your phone runs out of charge or you forget to charge the lock, your key and the other compatible accessories will still open the door.
How often should I charge it?
Under normal use the battery lasts around 1.5 to 2.5 months. You can check the charge level in the app.
Can I see who opened the lock?
Yes. Every lock and unlock operation is recorded in the lock, and with the separately sold Smart Bridge you can monitor them in real time.
Can the lock be used in extreme cold or heat?
Utopic series smart locks are designed to operate across a wide temperature range and hold up well in those conditions.
Are Utopic series locks water- or moisture-resistant?
These smart locks are designed for indoor use. Using them in humid places or where they are directly exposed to water is not recommended.
Can I move the lock to another house or door?
Yes, moving the lock is possible, though the new door may require a compatible installation.
Can I use the smart lock in a business?
Yes. Smart locks suit offices and workplaces and provide secure access management.
Can I give access to only certain people?
Yes. You can specify who may use your lock in the app, and grant different levels of permission to different users — including temporary access within a specific date or time range.
Can security vulnerabilities occur in smart locks?
All Utopic smart locks are protected with current encryption protocols and security standards.
Can I give guests temporary access?
Yes. You can grant guests access within a specific day or time range and cancel that access later.
How long does installation take?
Between one and five minutes on average. Utopic smart locks come with a straightforward installation guide and every accessory you need.
Does the lock secure the door automatically after a set period?
Yes. The timer feature locks the door automatically after a period you choose, which protects you if the door is accidentally left open.
Do smart locks need a constant data connection?
No. They work over Bluetooth at short range with no data connection. Remote control requires a WiFi connection or the bridge device.
How do I share digital keys?
Digital keys are shared through the app, which lets you grant another person access for a set period or permanently. The process is securely encrypted.
