You can generate one-time e-keys through the application and share them with your guests so they can open your door using the DESi Smart App on their phones.

No Internet Needed to Create User Codes or E-Keys

When you are not at home, use the DESi Smart application to create scheduled user codes. Share these with your friends, Airbnb tenants, your repairman, your gardener, etc., without needing internet or any connection. You can also create one-time user codes valid for a single entry within a specified date and time range.

Long Battery Life (Standard Alkaline AA)

Provides a long battery life of 6 to 8 months per charge, depending on usage conditions. You can check the battery status from the DESi Smart application.

Automatic Locking Feature

Enable automatic locking and choose from 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds, or 1 minute options. You can select whether to lock the lock with a single turn or a full turn. After opening your door, Utopic 3 will automatically lock your door after the selected time has passed. You can also set intervals to disable automatic locking on specific days and times.

1. Can I still open the door with a key after installing the smart lock?

You can use your key at any time or in emergencies. It's enough to keep a key in your wallet or bag.

2. Will my door be damaged during installation?

No, you can install Utopic series smart locks as if you are replacing the same cylinder (barrel). No extra holes will be drilled into your door.

3. Can the smart lock automatically lock and unlock?

Our Utopic series smart locks perform full-turn locking and unlocking automatically. To do this, you just need to send a lock/unlock command from the phone application, fingerprint/keypad reader, or remote control.

4. Is the smart lock compatible with my 3-turn lock?

During installation, Utopic series smart locks automatically adjust to recognize the characteristics of your mechanical lock, such as the number of turns required to fully lock or unlock it. Once this setting is done during installation, the settings are saved in the memory.

5. Does it matter if my door is left or right-handed?

During the installation phase, your smart lock will detect whether your door is left or right-handed and decide the locking direction accordingly. This selection is made easily through the installation wizard.

6. How can I get additional keys for my smart lock?

You can duplicate these keys from DESi authorized service centers. Usually, 5 keys are included in the box.

7. How can I know if it is suitable for my door?

If your door has a cylinder (commonly known as a barrel) lock, Utopic series smart locks will be compatible with your door. In Turkey, doors generally use cylinders that are 66mm – 70mm in length. Utopic R and Utopic 3 smart locks are sold with 66-68mm cylinders. Thanks to their special structure, Utopic R smart locks can be extended by an additional 10mm, making them compatible with almost all doors in Turkey. If your existing cylinder is longer, you can still use Utopic R or Utopic 3 smart locks with a specially sized cylinder.

8. Can I use my old cylinder with the smart lock?

Unfortunately, you cannot. Utopic R and Utopic 3 smart locks can only be used with the special cylinders included in the box.

9. Can I install everything myself?

Yes, you can perform the entire installation by watching the support videos on our YouTube support channel. However, if there is any sagging or friction on your door, you need to fix that first.

10. Do smart locks work on doors with multiple locking points?

Our smart locks are compatible with centralized locking systems that have multiple locking points and are capable of locking/unlocking from all points.

11. Do smart locks have a tongue-pulling feature in the lock?

Our smart locks can fully open the door by pulling the lock tongue during the unlocking process.

12. Can the smart lock be controlled remotely?

Yes. With the Smart Bridge product sold separately, you can open or lock your door remotely.

13. Can I assign the smart lock to multiple users?

Yes, you can share the smart lock with different users through the application and manage their access permissions.

14. What if my phone or smart lock battery dies? Can I still open my door?

If your phone battery dies or you forget to charge the smart lock, you can use your key and other accessories compatible with the smart lock to open your door.

15. How often should it be charged?

Under normal usage, the smart lock's battery lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 months. You can monitor the charging status through the application.

16. Can I see who opened the lock?

Yes, every lock or unlock action is recorded in the lock. Additionally, with the externally sold Smart Bridge, you can monitor these actions in real-time.

17. Can smart locks be used in areas with extreme cold or hot weather?

Utopic series smart locks are designed to operate within a wide temperature range and are durable enough to withstand such conditions.

18. Are Utopic series locks waterproof or moisture-resistant?

Smart locks are designed for indoor use. It is not recommended to use them in environments exposed to moisture or direct water.

19. Can I move the lock to another house or door?

Yes, you can move the lock, but you may need to perform a new installation to fit the new door.

20. Can I use the smart lock for a business as well?

Yes, smart locks are suitable for offices or businesses and provide secure access management.

21. Can I manage the smart lock by granting access permissions only to specific people?

Yes, you can specify who can use your lock through the application. You can assign different levels of access permissions among users. For example, you can define temporary access permissions within a specific date or time range.
