What is OTP?

Utopic-R can be opened with codes you create for a single use or for a set period. This system, known as OTP, lets you generate time-limited codes without connecting to your smart lock. These codes are created with high security and can be set for one entry only, or for unlimited entries within a date range you choose.

With a keypad that supports OTP, you can have your door opened from wherever you happen to be. And if you don't have an OTP keypad, you can still send a one-time code to a guest at your door through the Utopic app and let them in. None of this requires you to be near your smart lock or to have a connection to it.
